In partnership with the Fondation Culture & Diversité, the school is hosting its first “Equal opportunities at the school of architecture” course, from February 9 to 13.
Students taking part in this program benefit from courses, visits to cultural institutions, building sites and/or agencies, and meetings with teachers and professionals. Together, they produce an architectural project.
The aim is to inform them about architectural studies and career opportunities, and to prepare them for the Parcoursup and selection procedures for the Écoles nationales supérieures d’architecture (ENSA). Admitted students are then supported throughout their university studies.

There's the possible, that dream window opening onto the real.
This quotation from Victor Hugo serves as the common thread running through the program drawn up for the thirty high school students from all over France who are spending a week immersed in the ENSA Paris-la Villette design studio.
Guided by teachers Guillaume Dufilho, Chantal Dugave and Laetitia Lesage, student volunteers and a number of administrative staff, these young people are carrying out a project based on the notion of the “frame”, designed to heighten their awareness and perception of their built environment. Various theoretical and practical exercises are planned: drawing windows, playing with the frame object, taking pictures framing the urban and landscape environment at the Parc de la Villette, etc.
These exercises are part of a series of visits and meetings across the Île-de-France region: from cultural institutions – Cité de l’architecture et du patrimoine in Paris 16th – to social economy players – Ferme du Rail in Paris 19th and the Atelier R-ARe association in Seine-Saint-Denis.
The reflections and activities should culminate in the production of a short personal film on the theme of the setting, stimulating the inventiveness and imagination of the young participants. After an oral presentation session, the students present their productions in front of invited partners and professionals.
