Learning objectives
The main pedagogical objective of Semester 6 is to
provide students with a basic understanding of the urban form
and the keys to the contemporary processes of urban production
, in order to define critical and operative modes of architectural intervention
.
At the end of the bachelor’s degree cycle, the aim is to acquire the fundamental know-how
of urban analysis and urban design, with a focus on
the spatial approach based on a three-fold articulation:
1/ Articulating analysis and project: Learn to
construct a problematic based on a critical reading of a
context with regard to contemporary urban issues, deploying
analysis as project and project as analysis.
2/ Articulating scales: Recognize, represent and
articulate the different scales of the territory, the city and the building.
3/articulations between building and city: consolidate and deepen the
acquired in previous semesters on the building project by
deploying them on an urban scale and questioning the building as
part of an urban fabric.
