Festival Close-Up #3: Filming [in] architecture

© Close-Up Festival
For the second year running, the Close-Up festival honors schools of architecture that have integrated cinematic practice into their curricula: students from Paris schools Paris-la Villette, Paris-Belleville, Paris-Malaquais and Paris-Val de Seine, and from the Swiss school Institut of Urban and Landscape Studies (LUS) present their short films exploring the links between frame, gaze and lived space.
Discover a selection of 16 student productions chosen with their teachers.

The Art, Architecture and Cinema (AAC) seminar offers students the opportunity to engage in creative research on architecture, the city or landscape through the medium of film. Theory and practice are enriched by questions emanating from the visual and narrative arts, as well as from anthropology and philosophy, in relation to architecture.
A partner of the Close-Up festival since its inception, ENSA Paris-la Villette is hosting three events as part of this 5th edition:
- Monday, November 17, 2025 at 1:15pm: At the top! (or almost) by Cédric Defert, in the presence of the director
- Monday, November 17, 2025 at 3:30pm: La vie en kit by Élodie Gegavre, in the presence of the director
- Friday, November 21, 2025 at 2 pm: E.1024 – Eileen Gray and the house by the sea by Béatrice Minger and Christophe Schaub
Screenings open to all. Free admission.
