Project practices and citizen mobilization: living, protesting, experimenting

These study days, organized by Eliza Culea-Hong, associate lecturer at ENSA Versailles and member of the LéaV research team, and Pierre Bouilhol, associate lecturer at ENSA Paris-la Villette and member of the GERPHAU research team, explore project practices and citizen mobilization: living, protesting, experimenting.
The aim is to explore these tensions through the prism of project practices – architecture, urban planning, landscape – and their tools. The aim is to combine theoretical analysis, feedback from experience, stories from the field and alternative approaches to spatial production.
The aim is to open up discussion to a diversity of situations and scales, in France and elsewhere: zones to be defended, transforming wastelands, contested eco-neighborhoods, metropolitan or rural conflicts, reappropriated inhabited spaces.
What spatial forms do conflicts around ecological projects take? How is architecture involved – as a solution, a problem or a field of experimentation? What rival narratives of ecology, inhabitation and territory are at stake? Where do designers fit in? And what can architects, teachers, institutions, researchers and practitioners working in the field learn from this?
Study days are open without registration. They are not broadcast online.
