🚨CANCELED // TAP Project #2/9: Caring for Our Living Environment. Urban Professions in Transition?

📣 ATTENTION: The event has been canceled due to student protests in support of the high school students’ movement.
The École nationale supérieure d’architecture de Paris-la Villette, through the Ramau network (Network for Architecture and Urban Planning Activities and Professions), is organizing the second of nine thematic meetings launched by the TAP* project consortium.
Under the theme “Caring for Our Living Environment: Are Urban Professions in Transition? ,” this two-day event is divided into two parts: one focused on examining the professionalization of training programs at ENSA-P, and the other on understanding the changes affecting these professions through three areas of research in which members of the Ramau network are engaged.
Educational programs in architecture, urban planning, and landscape architecture are set to evolve in light of the environmental, digital, and—more broadly—societal transitions unfolding in the 21st century. For more than twenty years, RAMAU has been dedicated to documenting these changes through the lens of an analysis of activities and professions. As part of the Transitions Architecture Paysage (TAP) project, the network aims to develop an educational program designed to examine and address the professionalization requirements of degree programs related to these transitions.
The program:
- October 8: Evolving Architectural Practices and Cross-Disciplinary Perspectives with Urban Planning and Landscape Architecture.
Based on the findings of the CMA-Archi study (Skills and Careers of the Future in the Architecture Sector, France 2030), this event aims to explore the full diversity of careers in architecture and to discuss how the diverse career paths of architecture graduates challenge teaching methods at ENSA-P schools. - October 9: Diversification and Transformation of Urban Occupations. Insights from three research areas in Belgium, Switzerland, and France.
This event is a RAMAU workshop open to TAP participants. It brings together and compares three ongoing research projects within the network, all of which analyze the effects of major societal transition dynamics on professional activities in the fields of urban development and management.
*The TAP project, winner of the “Skills and Professions of the Future” call for proposals, aims to transform architecture and landscape architecture training programs over the 2025–2030 period in order to address the challenges of the digital and ecological transitions. Led by a consortium of higher education institutions and professional organizations, the TAP project is a true collaborative effort dedicated to transforming professions in the built environment and urban planning sectors.
ENSA Paris-la Villette is a member of the TAP project consortium.
