Vestiges et Vivants: un film, un livre
by Philippe Troyon and Korinna Zinovia Weber
(2004-2025 – 75 minutes)
The past meets the present without losing relevance: the portraits of the inhabitants of the Cité Montillet in Blanc-Mesnil, filmed between the demolition of the housing estate built by Candilis-Josic-Woods and their rehousing, have influenced the scientific research carried out twenty years later on this forgotten architecture, essential to the daily lives of many inhabitants. Housing is not just an arrangement of walls, but also of living people who sometimes inhabit the remains, a reality that politics often overlooks.
