Walking as a process - student work

“La Marche comme démarche” is the result of an exploration and cross-fertilization between Architecture, Art, Landscape and Engineering students. It focuses on the Ile-de-France landscape, and in particular on two of its key axes: the Axe historique, from the Louvre to Nanterre, and the Axe Majeur, from Cergy onwards.

This project, led by the art space “La Terrasse” in Nanterre, in collaboration with the association “Dans le sens de Barge”, brought together students from the École nationale supérieure d’architecture de Versailles and Paris-la Villette, the École nationale supérieure du paysage de Versailles and the École nationale supérieure d’arts de Paris-Cergy.
ENSAPLV took part with a group of S4 students, supervised by visual arts teacher Chimène Denneulin.
The students reveal a territory made up of passages, borders, visible and invisible bridges, infrastructures and complex entanglements. Their observation gives rise to a reinterpretation of the landscape they cross, using photomontage and sculpture.
Opening on Friday, May 22, 2026 from 5:30pm.
Free admission, Wednesday to Friday, 12pm to 6pm and Saturday, 2pm to 6pm.
