What's Up IGP ? (What's up IGP?)

Cours Blaise Pascal, Evry-Courcouronnes, January 202 – © Loïc Vadelorge

Two years after the international colloquium “Inventing/Inversing Greater Paris”, held in March 2024, the aim is to report on the dynamism of research, but also on its renewal, in the light of major historiographical developments.

An entire morning will be dedicated to the presentation of doctorates in progress or recently defended. The afternoon will focus on the “Archival City” research program, in which IGP has been a partner between 2019 and 2023, with a particular emphasis on the extensive digitization of directories from the Seine department (1885-1968). The day will conclude with a round-table discussion entitled “Pour en finir avec le petit Paris” (“To put an end to small Paris”), which will put current political debates on Greater Paris into perspective.

In the wake of the seminars produced by the IGP collective, this new study day is open to students, doctoral students, teachers, researchers and, more generally, anyone interested in the history of Greater Paris.
