The Class of 2026

💬Surveying territories, bringing out the possible. Architecture and urban planning for territories on the move.

9000 lieues is a hybrid advisory and urban planning tool, dedicated to areas in transition, spaces in need of redevelopment and projects still in the making. Through observation, co-construction and experimentation, 9000 lieues supports local authorities in the reading, design and transformation of their territories.
An itinerant observatory of public space practices, 9000 lieues reveals uses, brings out possibilities and helps local authorities transform an intention into a shared, long-term project dynamic.

💬Across between the ink that explores and the anchor that engages.

The ankr agency was founded in 2025 by four associate architects who had been working together for several years.
The work they carry out within their ankrerie focuses primarily on interventions on existing structures, adopting a technical and sensitive approach to transforming and improving the comfort, quality and uses of tomorrow’s spaces.

💬Whatif climatic constraints became a design lever?

Atelier défi develops bioclimatic and resilient architecture, conceived from the climate, context and existing resources.
Environmental constraints – bad weather, temperatures, wind, natural hazards – become project material to produce sustainable, sober and comfortable spaces.
From design to construction, the atelier accompanies projects on a human scale with a rigorous, transparent approach rooted in contemporary issues.

💬Orzanis a duo of architects rooted in the coastline who approach their practice like a real workshop, adopting an artisanal and experimental approach, at all scales of the project, with the same exacting attention to detail.

“Orzan is the name of a beach we could see from the window of our apartment in La Coruña, Spain. We’d surf there, recharge our batteries. It inspired us.It was on this beach that our first joint ideas for architectural projects were born – perhaps even the desire to create our own agency one day.”

This architectural duo was born out of a desire to design projects rooted in and inspired by the coastline, and places craftsmanship and local know-how at the heart of their practice. They see their approach as that of a workshop of experimentation, mobilizing a diversity of tools and techniques, from hand-drawing to scale models, as well as more contemporary tools of representation (3D, AI), to support public and private clients in their projects.
The workshop works on projects of all scales, from furniture and interior spaces to rehabilitation and new construction.
The workshop cultivates expertise in wood construction and the use of bio-sourced materials.

💬Conceiveand evolve places with accuracy, in a sustainable, contextual and controlled approach.

BAEL Architecte was born of the conviction that relevant architecture is first and foremost built from what already exists. The agency develops an approach attentive to the evolution and extension of what already exists, through an architecture that is situated, sensitive and sustainable.
The memory of place, matter and traces become project levers, revealing the potential of a site through a coherent and contextualized architectural response. Its style is characterized by attention to light, pathways and the experience of spaces.
Its practice combines architectural sensitivity, technical mastery and attention to implementation.
The agency works on projects related to existing buildings as well as new construction, for programs ranging from housing to establishments open to the public.

💬Interrogate, explore, enhance

boda is the result of a partnership between architects Emilie Bonnaire and Cécile Dalmas.
The agency explores the singularities of each place to reveal its potential and provide a fair and sustainable response to the diversity of people who live there. This approach is designed to be attentive and to cover all scales. It questions the transformation of resources and the need to build in a way that makes the most of what’s already there and saves resources. In particular, the agency invests in the fields of repair, renovation and rehabilitation of existing buildings, and supports private owners and public authorities in their projects.

💬CURA(from the Latin cura, care) is an architectural practice that designs projects with care, drawing on craftsmanship and site experience, where the project is born as much from the design as from its implementation, to build with awareness and make architecture a cure.

CURA Architecture approaches construction and rehabilitation through the prism of care, rejecting architectural practices that erase or destroy. It suspends the brutality of the gesture in order to sew up and revive the built environment with precision. The act of building thus becomes a measured, conscious intervention, designed to care for an environment without dominating it.

💬Theevolving architecture of everyday life.

HR Architectures, founded in 2023 by Hind Rabai, designs evolving spaces conceived to accompany life transitions and uses over time.
Each project seeks a balance between spatial quality, adaptability and economy of means.
The agency develops an architecture of everyday life, where each intervention responds to a real use and concretely improves the way space is used.

💬”Nothing is lost, nothing is created, everything is transformed.” Antoine Lavoisier, chemist.

MAXI is an architecture and engineering firm founded in 2022 by MArie Maghe and XIao Chen. Convinced that existing buildings are a sustainable resource, the firm’s leitmotif is to reinterpret rather than replace. Through each project, MAXI reveals the spatial and constructive qualities specific to each context, with a fine-tuned approach, adapted to uses and nourished by local know-how.

💬“Everything is possible, but is it desirable? Jean-Marc Weill, architect, engineer and teacher.

The roots structure the building, drawing rigorous geometries and drawing their essence from plural cultures.
In this vein, the RACINE STRUCTURE design office creates legible, demanding and committed buildings.
This design office was created in 2025 by Julie Mattsson, a DE engineer-architect and teacher, with ten years’ experience on projects of various scales and constructive techniques.

💬Anarchitecture built in dialogue with those who live in it, and carried through to the construction site with exacting standards.

Studio Martel, an architectural and project management practice founded by Clara Martel in 2025, develops multi-family housing projects by placing exchanges with the client at the heart of the design process. Convinced that architecture is built as much as it is designed, the agency considers the building site as the place where the project acquires its full accuracy, and pays rigorous attention to its implementation.

💬NourishingArchitecturethroughInterculturality, FrugalityandExperimentation

Studio NAÏF.e is conceived as a place for reflection and creation, where experimentation knows no bounds. A space where questions can be asked to the point of flirting with naivety, the better to propose alternatives and simple solutions for frugal, less energy-consuming architecture.
Founded by architect and cabinetmaker Samira Fahardine, the studio develops projects at the crossroads of architecture, craftsmanship and design, nourished by the cultural heritage of several Indian Ocean territories, including Mayotte and La Réunion.
