The thematic scientific networks (RST), a label of the French Ministry of Culture, authorized by the Sub-Directorate for Higher Education and Research in Architecture and Landscape, aim to develop and promote scientific production in the fields of architecture, towns and landscapes in the national, European and international research arena.
They complement the research units of the ENSAs by virtue of the highly thematic nature of their scientific projects, but also because of their ability to bring together forces spread across broad geographical and disciplinary areas.
ENSA Paris-la Villette coordinates one of these networks: RAMAU.
The school is also a scientific member and partner of the PERS network.
This research and information network, set up in 1998, covers the various activities involved in developing and designing construction, urban planning, development and landscape projects in France and Europe.
ENSA Paris-la Villette is a member of the Perspectives Rurales scientific and educational network in architecture (RSPA).
Today, the Perspectives Rurales network brings together teachers and researchers from international schools of architecture and landscape design, as well as universities and agricultural engineering schools. Its actions rely on the contribution of a range of institutional players: regional nature parks (PNR), communities of communes and agglomerations, and councils for architecture, urban planning and the environment (CAUE), in the first instance. The network is expanding to include a circle of practitioners working in the fields of planning, landscape, architecture and agronomy, as well as in dialogue with local residents.
The network has two main objectives:
- Develop new approaches to teaching and research in spatial and project-related professions, in relation to the evolution of rural territories in the context of metropolization.
- Report on the dynamics of remarkable projects on an architectural, territorial and landscape scale, in the light of the various forms of transition (experienced and desired) specific to our times.
The network is co-sponsored by ENSA Saint-Étienne and ENSA Clermont-Ferrand.
Scientific supervisors: Frédéric Bonnet (ENSA Saint-Étienne) and David Robin (ENSA Clermont-Ferrand).
ENSA Paris-la Villette correspondent: Rosa De Marco.
