Scholarships, grants and housing

Student plan

Administrative registration at the school confers student status, entitling you to the many services offered by the CROUS (Centre régional des œuvres universitaires et sociales): university canteen, preventive medicine, social assistance, etc. Social security affiliation is also a consequence.

Scholarships

Students wishing to receive a grant based on social criteria and/or accommodation in a CROUS hall of residence must submit a dossier social étudiant (DSE). This file must be completed each year via the Internet, by logging on to the Étudiant.gouv.fr website published by the Ministry of Higher Education and Research (MESR) and the CROUS.

Scholarship holders are exempt from registration fees and the CVEC (Contribution de vie étudiante et de campus). Conditional or definitive notification of scholarship status must be provided at the time of registration or administrative re-registration at ENSAPLV. If the student has not yet received the document at that time, he/she must pay the registration fees and apply for a refund at a later date.
Scholarship holders are also given priority for the allocation of CROUS social-rate housing and benefit from the €1 rate for meals in CROUS restaurants and cafeterias.

Specific CROUS assistance

Depending on their situation, students may be eligible for one-off and/or annual assistance. Both are governed by the Circulaire des aides spécifiques.

 

Specific assistance from ENSAPLV

The emergency aid fund (FAUVE) has been set up to help students in difficulty to cope with everyday life and/or to purchase computer and teaching equipment.

Housing

Accommodation in CROUS university halls of residence is reserved first and foremost for grant-holders.

Other public and private organizations also offer accommodation. The sites of the Ministry of Higher Education and Research (MESR ) and CROUS Paris list the main ones and give advice.

To help students pay their rent or deposit for student accommodation, there are various forms of financial aid. However, all these schemes are subject to certain conditions.
