The Pavillon de l’Arsenal is launching the 2026 edition of its FAIRE call for projects, dedicated to design and urban innovation, architectural and landscape design, aimed at anyone who wishes to invent new ways of shaping the city in the Greater Paris area.

This call for projects aims to encourage young creators and recently established organizations by awarding grants to eight winners, including one student prize.

What types of projects are expected?

  • FACING the climate challenges of today and tomorrow.
  • ENABLING participative, social and solidarity-based approaches.
  • MAKE research and innovation resonate on a metropolitan scale.

  

Calendar

  • Wednesday, July 8, 7:00 p.m. at ENSA Paris-Belleville, as part of the “Entreprendre pour la culture” forum organized by the Ministry of Culture.
    Five winning teams from previous years’ FAIRE competitions will present their projects and share their experiences of the FAIRE adventure with the audience.
  • Sunday, September 6, 11:59 p.m.
    Deadline for submitting projects
  • Monday, September 7, through Friday, September 18 : Review and selection of 50 projects
  • Saturday, September 19, through Sunday, September 27 : Project review by the technical committee

What is FAIRE?

FAIRE provides stakeholders in urban and architectural development with the opportunity to submit proposals addressing major urban challenges: biodiversity, heat islands, low-carbon construction, energy efficiency, as well as the redefinition of urban professions, resource sharing, and co-production… Its goal is to accelerate the emergence of experimental architectural and urban practices, facilitate the implementation of prototypes in Paris and the Greater Paris area, support and promote applied research, and encourage the adoption of new construction processes, materials, and programs.

  • All Aboard: Apply for the Travel Program for Young Architects

    Online application portal opens: October 1, 2026
    Application deadline: November 5, 2026, at 11:59 p.m.

    “Immediate Departure” is a travel program that enables young architects to gain valuable experience through travel by setting out to discover different ways of thinking about cities and regions and to examine, on the ground, the state of the European landscape in light of contemporary challenges and the environmental, economic, political, cultural, and social transitions underway in Europe.

    The call for applications is organized by the Quartus Endowment Fund for Architecture, in partnership with the Ministry of Culture, the Cité de l’architecture et du patrimoine, the Atelier Parisien d’Urbanisme, the AREP Group, and MAF, and is co-organized with ENSA Paris-Est on behalf of the network of French National Schools of Architecture.

  • Créart'UP 2026-2027

    Application deadline: 01/07/2026

    Run by the Maison étudiante de la Ville de Paris, Créart’UP provides annual support for students and recent graduates (less than two years old) from Paris and the Île-de-France region wishing to develop an artistic or cultural project and gain professional experience in the arts and culture sector.

    Eligible fields are: music, theater, dance, visual arts, audiovisual, design, fashion, performance, digital cultural projects, and more broadly all innovative artistic and cultural projects.

  • Jacques Rougerie Foundation International Architecture and Innovation Competition 2026 - Académie des beaux-arts

    Application deadline: 24/09/2026

    Each year, this competition rewards architects, designers, engineers, artists and urban planners from all over the world who imagine bold and disruptive current or future architectural projects focusing on submersible land, sea and space, in order to build tomorrow’s new sustainable living environments at national and international level.

    The competition is free and open to students and professionals from all over the world.
      

  • New teaching module in S10: Introduction to the diversity of professional practices and the architectural professions

    The new syllabus for the Master’s program, to be introduced at the start of the 2025-2026 academic year, introduces the “Student Pathway” teaching unit. The aim of this change is to better support students in the development of their career plans, taking into account the diversity of architectural practices and professional fields.

    On February 24, 2026, the first of four sessions dedicated to the professionalization of S10 students took place, conceived by teachers Élise Macaire and Minna Nordström.

    Future graduates had the opportunity to exchange views with ENSAPLV alumni from a variety of backgrounds, and discover the diversity of architectural professions.
