“Anatomy of a relationship” tells the story of the relationships forged between ENSAPLV and its Japanese partners over more than sixty years. What began as a link between two institutions and three individuals has now become a network bringing together fifteen establishments and almost a hundred players involved in educational, scientific and human exchanges.
Like a thread that is fragile at first, then strengthened over time, these encounters have given rise to lasting cooperative ventures, nurtured by dialogue, student mobility and shared research. Exchanges invite each to see the other, to question their own practices and to think together about the role of architects in the transformations of the contemporary world.
The exhibition is divided into three areas:
- The Encounters Room retraces the key moments in this history through a chronological frieze and, from March 9 to 16, hosts round tables, lectures and discussions as part of “ENSA Paris-la Villette à l’heure du Japon”.
- The dissertation room showcases the Master’s work carried out in mobility, and the fruitful dialogue between two educational cultures.
- La chambre des expériences explores a constellation of projects, workshops and testimonials from students and teachers who have marked these exchanges.
Conceived as a living archive, the exhibition invites everyone to extend and enrich this collective history.
Curated and produced by Jonathan Bruter, Senior Lecturer and co-responsible for exchanges with Japanese partners, Justine Simonot and Justine Lanjouère-Croux, International Relations Department, with the support of Marie Malinosky and Juliette Villain, and students Cassandre Gondouin, Ivan Le Hir and Juliane Vandevoorde.
