Carte blanche goes to the winner of the 2024 National Architecture Grand Prix, Atelier Architecture Perraudin, founded in 2017 by Gilles Perraudin and his son Jean-Manuel Perraudin, who graduated with a degree in architecture from ENSA Paris-la Villette in 2014.
The award-winning firm is taking over the Cité de l’architecture et du patrimoine with an exhibition that showcases its humanistic and sustainable vision of architecture, where every action forges a connection between people, materials, and the land.
Eight projects carried out in France, Romania, and Senegal—illustrated through photographs, sketches, and graphic materials—will be presented at the Cité to highlight the studio’s philosophy: building to make people happy.

ABOUT THE NATIONAL GRAND PRIX OF ARCHITECTURE
Established in 1975, the National Grand Prix of Architecture (GPNA) is the highest national honor in the field of architecture. It is awarded to an architect or a team of architects residing in France for their body of work. Presented every two years by the Ministry of Culture, this prize serves as an opportunity to recognize and highlight an architect’s exemplary approach.
Starting with the 2022 edition, the GPNA has adapted to changes in architectural practice by selecting architectural firms rather than individuals and by ensuring greater gender parity among the finalists.
