The call for applications is open to architects and architecture graduates, with one or more other specialists (please refer to the selection procedures specific to each residence).

As part of the 6th edition of the residency program, supported by the Caisse des dépôts Mécénat, the Conseil national de l’Ordre des architectes and the French Ministry of Culture, Maisons de l’architecture offers teams of specialists organized around an architect or architecture graduate, the opportunity to create a cultural project during a residency in a given territory and context.

For several weeks, these residents work in immersion, living on site and meeting local players (residents, elected representatives, etc.).

The 6th program features 8 architectural residencies throughout mainland France and the French overseas territories.

Whether rural communities or urban neighborhoods, the host areas offer a variety of contexts and challenges, with a view to enabling the experiments conducted to feed into ongoing reflections on public policies such as the revitalization of village centers and medium-sized towns, the activation of peri-urban areas, and more broadly on issues linked to adaptation to the effects of climate change, soil fertility, tourism, landscape, the circular economy and citizenship.

  • Normandie-Maine NRP and UNESCO World Geopark, Orne (61): Aux sources de l’Orne
  • Corse-du-Sud (2A): Nova via architetturali, contemporary architectural itineraries
  • Le Port, Reunion Island (974) : ZUP II : Le Port
  • Doizieux and its catchment area, Loire (42): Inhabiting a territory and its constraints, revealing potential and working with it
  • Chantonnay, Vendée (85): The high school and the town, educational residence
  • Maen Roch, Ville-et-Vilaine (35): Maen Roch, an area of mixed identities
  • Lacelle – Plateau de Millevaches, Corrèze (19) : Foire à Lacelle, or how can an ancient figure be used to explore new ruralities?

  • All Aboard: Apply for the Travel Program for Young Architects

    “Immediate Departure” is a travel program that enables young architects to gain valuable experience through travel by setting out to discover different ways of thinking about cities and regions and to examine, on the ground, the state of the European landscape in light of contemporary challenges and the environmental, economic, political, cultural, and social transitions underway in Europe.

    The call for applications is organized by the Quartus Endowment Fund for Architecture, in partnership with the Ministry of Culture, the Cité de l’architecture et du patrimoine, the Atelier Parisien d’Urbanisme, the AREP Group, and MAF, and is co-organized with ENSA Paris-Est on behalf of the network of French National Schools of Architecture.

  • FAIRE 2026

    Deadline for project submissions: September 6, 2026

    The Pavillon de l’Arsenal is launching the 2026 edition of its FAIRE call for projects, dedicated to design and urban innovation, architectural and landscape design, aimed at anyone who wishes to invent new ways of shaping the city in the Greater Paris area.

    This call for projects aims to encourage young creators and recently established organizations by awarding grants to eight winners, including one student prize.

  • Créart'UP 2026-2027

    Application deadline: 01/07/2026

    Run by the Maison étudiante de la Ville de Paris, Créart’UP provides annual support for students and recent graduates (less than two years old) from Paris and the Île-de-France region wishing to develop an artistic or cultural project and gain professional experience in the arts and culture sector.

    Eligible fields are: music, theater, dance, visual arts, audiovisual, design, fashion, performance, digital cultural projects, and more broadly all innovative artistic and cultural projects.

  • Jacques Rougerie Foundation International Architecture and Innovation Competition 2026 - Académie des beaux-arts

    Application deadline: 24/09/2026

    Each year, this competition rewards architects, designers, engineers, artists and urban planners from all over the world who imagine bold and disruptive current or future architectural projects focusing on submersible land, sea and space, in order to build tomorrow’s new sustainable living environments at national and international level.

    The competition is free and open to students and professionals from all over the world.
