This exceptional lecture will close the Research Day, organized by doctoral students from ENSA Paris-la Villette.
Open to all, it will be given in English.
“The Improvisation of Space” examines a paradigm shift in contemporary urban research: the transition from an object-oriented to an action-oriented perspective on the city. The lecture develops a critical urban theory through an improvisational lens, exploring how and why its epistemological, political, and media-related implications reshape our understanding of urban environments and the roles of architecture and urban design.
