Thomas Eleftériou had previously held this position on the previous Board of Directors, from October 2022 to December 2025, at which time he decided to resign for personal reasons. Marion Cloarec Simon, in her capacity as a qualified external expert and the senior member of the board, was then appointed by the Ministry of Culture to serve as interim chair until the end of the term.

Thomas Eleftériou, a DPLG-certified architect, has been teaching at ENSAPLV for more than fifteen years. In 2022, following a competitive selection process, he was appointed as an associate professor in the Theory and Practice of Architectural and Urban Design (TPCAU) program. His teaching activities, at both the bachelor’s and master’s levels, focus primarily on collective housing. He contributes to the curriculum for the “Living in Urban Worlds” (HMU) Master’s program. Deeply involved in the life of the institution, he has served on the Board of Trustees and its executive committee since 2018.

For this term, the president proposes that the Board of Trustees commit to placing student well-being and success at the heart of the strategic and budgetary decisions it deliberates on. These objectives are inextricably linked to the quality of working conditions (staffing levels, facilities, equipment) for administrative and technical staff and faculty members.

While attention to day-to-day operations is essential, the Board of Directors intends to prepare for the school’s future by addressing key initiatives such as the reform of the 2005 regulations governing architecture studies, the campus strategy, the current real estate situation and the school’s relocation project, as well as the institution’s digital strategy and issues raised by the use of AI. This work, coordinated with the CPS and the CSA and carried out in constant consultation with the administration, will draw on the experience and expertise of the school’s entire community: faculty members, administrative staff, and students.

The Board of Directors of ENSA Paris-la Villette, which is now fully operational, was re-elected during the June 2026 elections for the faculty and researchers, administrative, technical, and scientific staff, and student bodies.
In addition, the six external qualified individuals, upon the recommendation of Anne D’Orazio, the institution’s director, were approved by the elected board members on September 28, 2026, pursuant to Article 6 of Decree No. 2018-109 of February 15, 2018:

  • Bruno Gaudin, DPLG-certified architect, founder of Atelier Bruno Gaudin Architectes, former professor, and former chair of the school’s Board of Directors (2009–2012)
  • Aline-Kouene Habassou, General Delegate for Equal Opportunity at the Culture & Diversity Foundation
  • Adrien Paporello, an engineer from École Centrale, partner at the AIA Life Designers firm, and member of the Board of Directors of AAIIA—Association of Architect-Engineers and Engineer-Architects
  • Estelle Sabatier, Director of Development, Cultural Programming, and Communications at the Pavillon de l’Arsenal
  • Catherine Sabbah, Executive Director of the Institute for Advanced Studies in Housing Policy (IDHEAL)
  • Anne-Christine Trémon, Director of Studies at EHESS—École des hautes études en sciences sociales.

The terms of office for the members of the new Board of Directors begin with this inaugural meeting. The elected representatives of the faculty and support staff serve four-year terms. The terms of office for student representatives end after two years, at which point by-elections are held to replace them.
