Elections for the School's Committees on Academic Programs and Student Life (CFVE) and Research (CR)

As the terms of office for members of the Commission on Academic Programs and Student Life (CFVE) and the Research Commission (CR) are coming to an end, elections are being held to renew their membership. These two committees, which together make up the institution’s Academic and Scientific Council (CPS), are elected according to common procedures and on the same dates.
For these elections, which will be held from Tuesday, November 10, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. through Friday, November 13, 2026, at 9:00 a.m., the school will use online electronic voting.
Information on the organization of elections
1. COMMITTEE ON ACADEMIC PROGRAMS AND STUDENT LIFE (CFVE)
The ENSAPLV’s CFVE consists of 20 members—that is, 20 seats to be filled through election—divided into three electoral colleges:
- Faculty and researchers: 12 seats (12 pairs of regular members and alternates)
- Students: 6 seats (6 pairs of regular members and alternates)
- Staff in the administrative, technical, and scientific (ATS) fields: 2 seats (2 pairs of regular members and alternates)
Each candidate must be accompanied by a deputy, and the pair will appear on a binominal ballot paper.
Term of Office: In accordance with Article 20 of Decree No. 2018-109, the elected members of the CFVE serve four-year terms, with the exception of student representatives, who serve two-year terms.
2. RESEARCH COMMITTEE (CR)
The ENSAPLV’s Governing Council consists of 20 members, including 2 elected bodies (14 seats) and a body of external experts appointed by the Board of Directors:
- Faculty members affiliated with a research team: 12 seats (12 pairs of regular and alternate members)
- Doctoral students enrolled in initial or continuing education: 2 seats (2 pairs of regular members and alternates)
- External members appointed by the Board of Directors: 6 seats
Each candidate must appear accompanied by their alternate, and the pair will appear on a binomial ballot.
Please note: Unlike the three elected colleges of the CFVE (faculty members, students, and administrative and technical staff) and the two elected colleges of the CR (affiliated faculty members and doctoral students), the CR’s college of external members is not subject to election: its six members are appointed by the Board of Directors.
Term of Office: In accordance with Article 20 of Decree No. 2018-109, the elected members of the CR are elected for a four-year term.
Rule adopted by ENSAPLV: Since doctoral students are postgraduate students, and for the sake of consistency with the rules applicable to students at the CFVE, the term of office for representatives of the doctoral student body on the CR is set at two years rather than four years, even though the decree does not explicitly specify this for this body.

In accordance with Article 21 of Decree No. 2018-109, the CFVE and the CR each elect their own chair from among the faculty and researchers who are members of the committee. In accordance with Article 15 of the same decree, the Pedagogical and Scientific Council (CPS) is chaired by the chair of the CFVE, with the chair of the CR serving as vice-chair.
