Shall we rebuild the site together? by "These Women Who Build"

The collective imagination continues to associate construction with physical strength, justifying the tacit exclusion of women from the building trades, where they still account for only 2% of the sector in Europe.

Francesca Bonesio and Isabelle Swiderski, leaders of the project “These women who build” , invite female builders and students from ENSA Paris-la Villette to participate in a workshop on Wednesday, November 4th, co-hosted with La Villette Étudiante and Les Causeur.euses , a collective of young graduates from ENSA Paris-La Villette, founded in 2023, which opens the debate on the political, social and ecological issues of architecture.

Those who build and those who design will work together to envision the construction site of tomorrow: attractive, joyful, innovative, and inclusive. Not a utopian construction site, but a concrete one, free from standards that have no reason to exist.
